Can I tell you that you are the purple in me?

This quote...

Will be the definition of my life for the years to come. I'm going to be on my own, terribly broke because I'm awful at managing money. So having a good cry at Barney's sounds like pretty intriguing alternative.

I'm currently on Spring Break. I'm trying to do everything to keep me busy. So far, I've had a bitchen' girls night at my house, adventures to the thrift store, & prancing around the forest with my boyfriend's 35mm camera & a plastic fox mask. We took our cameras to an abandoned factory right outside of the forest, broke into it's first floor & found some insane places to shoot. After my boyfriend edits, I'll dedicate a post to our adventure. The graffiti was insane & creepy, funny & beautiful. I can't wait to share.

Here's one of myself that I have access to.
FOXY.

I randomly dyed my hair purple.
Ladies & Gents. I've put purple in my hair. As an attempt to look like the above beauty. It didn't turn out exactly like how I envisioned, but I'm loving every second of it.

So.
I've been spending a lot of time with friends lately. Especially since break has started. I'm feeling grounded. I'm surrounding myself with people I'm comfortable with, people I can bust a move with; scream profanity with, talk with, vent with, CRY WITH. I love you guys.
These last few months of High School are flying by...
I'm anxious & excited. Terrified of starting this new chapter in my life & leaving so much behind me& making these close friends in these few short month makes it that much harder to move along. Yet, I can't wait.
Questioning weather or not I'm ready is going to drive me nuts.
Dear High School, you were fun while you lasted. I don't think I'll be seeing much of you around.

CURRENT OBSESSIONS:
-Alexa Chung.
As always. She did a shoot in her house actually.
Adorable.

-Miu Miu
Their spring collection is insanely beautiful. Creepy prints of cats & naked men. Spectacular.

-Wildfox's "Spring Break"
A lot of fashion bloggers have been going crazy over Wildfox's collaboration with the Cobra Snake. I can see why. This shoot is so great. The barely there cut off shorts & cropped vintage tees scream a Southern summer.

-PEE WEE.
My brother looks like Mr. Pee Wee. He's so creepy & so is Joan Rivers.
LOOK I FOUND THEM TOGETHER.
Please watch this. It'll knock your socks off.
Crying with laughter. 1986!

MUAHHHHHHHHHHH

Yeah my friends, they are so beautiful.

This week has been long, but not because of the grueling last days of school before Spring Break, but because I was SICK AS HAYEL. So sick. Tuesday I couldn't even move. Yet today I feel fantastic.
I had some serious bondin' with Mia & Sydney. We giggled our way to the park & took fisheye shot's of the sun through the trees & our shadows dancing on the ground.
Later, I got my nails done with Hannah before she left for Cabo.

We're watching Crash in Journalism right now. Unfortunately, I'm confused. I missed the first 30 minutes of it because I was modeling for a photo shoot my boyfran' had to shoot. Our prop, a hot pink skull. Mia on the other hand got her little brown fingers on a vintage, 100 pound, camcorder.

Just beyond the riverbendd!
I can't wait for myself & Mia posing as Pocahontas, oars in hand, to come out of the water bath.

CURRENT OBSESSIONS:
-Knotted Wedges.
I just bought a super cheap pair from Target the other day. I wish I had the right outfit to match these suckers.

-Kurt Cobain.
Honestly, this man has been far more than a current obsession. I wrote my 8 paged Junior Theme on his life
Kurt Cobain: The Godfather of Grunge.
Amen sisterfran'.
My dad met this man. Went out to a bar with the band. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT.
I can.

-Nikon Coolpix
My family is currently looking for a new "family" camera. I've had my eye on the Coolpix-es(?). They have quite a variety. I want one. I would like to start posting my outfits, but I need a camera to do this.

-Getting accepted into the college I was hoping to attend next Fall.
Woohoo! Next: wait to hear back about the dorm they're offering me.
I've decided that maybe I should transfer to a university in California instead of an art college in California. Obviously I'm transferring to Cali, the question now is where.

-Fantastic Mr. Fox.
Wes Anderson has always created eccentric films. Full of heartwarming and heartbreaking stories. While unable to move on Tuesday, I watched Mr. Fox. The first thing that blew me away was the imagery. Absolutely beautiful. The actors chosen fit each of the characters to the T. Clooney was witty & smooth as Mr. Fox. Streep was fierce as Ms. Fox. Most of all, Schwartzman was a rebel without a cause as Ash. Everyone, please watch this movie. It will indeed (as Mia says) pull at your heart strings. Hard.

uh oh.
love &...pocket rockets,
-Elli Isabelle.

hook, line, sinker

lets skip the small talk.
I'm riding on an a angsty trip to nowhere nice.
if my youth had a voice it would sound like this:
(baby connor oberst how Commander Venus/ Bright Eyes came to be!!)

this is the point of the year where i lose grip.
my anxiety kicks in like bee stings, and i'm swollen.
I'm just waiting for that tidal wave to sweep me off of this god forsaken suburbia

Honestly, I'm not a scholar, i never study, I am always behind.
i have to do my undoings before the end starts to begin.
my future is at stake, as well as everything i so badly want.

one day, I'll live my charmed life.
live in my loft in the city
with my charmed spouse
writing.....

till then, ill suffer through my youth
until I age and realize how easy i had it.
sigh...

i performed on friday!
my knees were literally shaking from nerves.
all the other girl performers there were very meek sounding, kimya dawson-esqe
i sang the funeral, island in the sun and buy you a drank.
proud moment.

*CURRENT OBSESSIONS:

*Elliott Smith.
hey now, lets talk about this.
Everyone has been through this stage and I'm not saying I'm going through my stage( because i already have)
yes he killed himself, yes his music is depressing
yes he might be over-rated by hipsters
just don't think about it, because he is worth indulging in.

*SEU JORGE
portuguese david bowie covers ( from life aquatic soundtrack)
Tug at my heart strings a little harder why don'tcha.

speaking of Wes anderson soundtracks.....
*Nico/the velvet underground
"these days"
(fuckin love this movie)

*Hook line sinker by Jon Brion
( he does the score for eternal sunshine, I heart huckabbess and others)
top notch, amazing.
meltin my heart like a valentine from your mother.

*SPRING fashions:
I'm really into wearing grandma cardigans.
floral prints and ripped tights with boots
black eyeliner with red lipstick
very 90's reminiscent, basically i want to be a combo or Daria and Jenny Lewis

gawhh man, prom is coming up.
that means i have to boldy go where many unconventional/quirky broads have gone before.
take a guy friend to the prom, vintage dress, get smacked,
cry from the least expected, get lost in the city
and write about that night for the rest of my adult life.
i hope.

happy birthday maria hinijosa,
this is for you ( a baby emu)

American Woman.

I'm dying my hair...

So while I wait for it to settle in, I shall post.

Chloe, you look awesome in your Acne jeans.
Speaking of Sevigny, have you been watching Big Love?
Oh, it's SO good.

I found this picture of Edie Sedgwick & Andy Warhol in NY-1965 while using stumbleupon.com (for all of you that don't know this site, check it out. It finds websites that fit your interests).

Today was a really good fucking day.
Excuse the nasty language.
Tuesday's at my step mom's are always the best. Home-cooked, organic meals & plenty of great energy. She's the lifesaver that Amy lady.

Tomorrow is a huge day & hopefully everything will go as planned. We're doing our first rehearsal for the runway show. This could either go great or no one could listen & I'll slowly pull my hair out.

Lately I've been feeling so indecisive. With my emotions, mostly. I've been doubting one moment, then spewing rainbows another. I want to sit & blame it on leaving for college, but is that really it?
Silly.
I suppose.
My moods swing with the weather. It's funny how sunshine can make a day beautiful in every single way.

SO. I think this summer I have a job working with mentally challenged pre-schoolers. GAWH (:
This income, including graduation money will lead to my end-of-the-summer trip to Montreal with my favorite favorites. After a few days there, we're taking a train to the Adirondacks in New York to go hiking in the beautiful mountains. A great way to end the summer.

I love you more than sunshine dust.

"My Feelings Were Like Kittens, I Was Just Giving Them Away"

There once was a story about a girl.
well there still is a story about her because she still exists.
In fact her life is one big perpetual story.
and it goes a little like this.
( if i wrote a autobiography it would start like that)

One day i woke up and i realized,
I have about 3 months to figure out what i want to do with my life.
It was today. march 15
high school ends june 13?
and then life continues so on and so forth.
well, fuck me.

couple of things.
bored to death is funny. watch it!!!!!!

* Modest Mouse is a huge part of my heart.
"i miss you when your around. I'm never lonesome when I'm by myself"

* TARNATION
" your greatest creation is the life you lead"
these were words i lived by this summer.
Me and Elli watched this and weeped like willows.
so amazing. please watch.

* Kurt CoBain
I was reading a book with his journal sketches and such.
I don't have the time to say how much i love him.
oh baby. why'd ya have to kill yourself?

this weekend was tons of fun.
Went to a warehouse party with my friend maria
found some gay french men with bow ties.
then I said goodbye to a friend who goes to school in florida
we wrote a a rap called "baby baby baby"

this friday is my gig.
I'm extremely bashful and i think all the support
I'm getting is just making me more anxious.

where ever you are
i can't wait to meet you

Accomplishment.

150 views on the blog! Woohoo!
Is this something to celebrate?
I'm pretty stoked about it.
Thank You readers.
-e & m

New York, I love you, but your bringing me down.

New York, I love youu, but your freaking me out...

What an awesome song. My friend Sydney showed it to me yesterday. It's been playing over & over on my computer.
Wow, I haven't posted in a while! I have quite a lot to spill, for I am in a good mood. A very good mood. The weather is slowly looking up. Spring is poking it's head out of the clouds & cold. Plus, time 'sprung' forward today. Thankgoodness for longer days.

Graduation is in 3 months...3 months. I can't believe it. Everything is slowly changing. Including people. I'm either really connecting with friends, or completely seeing different sides of them (maybe as some form of defense?). Saying goodbye is always scary...It gives me nervous butterflies every time i think about what the future brings. I'm very much focused on ending this chapter on a good note and starting a new one on an even better one.
I raise my glass to you class of 2010.

(I want these. sretsis-daisy sunglasses)

Last Wednesday, the 10th i do believe, I went to a fashion show downtown with a handful of members from the fashion club. I thought that it was for The Art Institute College, but it was actually AI Art Institutes. The branches of schools you see online advertisements for or silly low-budget commercials you see while watching My Life As Liz...The fashion show itself was only 30 min long & not what I expected (although I give credit to those designers who worked their asses off). It showed me what to do & not to do for our fashion show in April. Overall, it was a good experience & I can't wait to start seeing more high end shows (hopefully) in the summer.

CURRENT OBSESSIONS:
-Alexa Chung
She's becoming quite the fashion icon. I think her show is great. She's hilarious.
She portrays my ideal style.
-LCD Soundsystem
Aw, Kermit.

-Socks with Sandals.
I love socks with sandals. Not those sweaty, smelly, athletic socks with Addidas sandals. High socks with clogs. Or just a clunky set of cork sandals.
Check it.
I hope you all have a marvelous Sunday. It's beautiful. Soak it up.

(I'm the white one. Love you Mia.)

-Elli Isabelle.

We've been seeing alot of each other.
i feel kinda lame writing consecutive post after post.
are you appreciating my dedication?
It's been pretty mundane here in toke park reefer forest.
its always the same by and by.
sometimes me and my friends feel like were are in a boring
sundance movie about teenagers.

I've re-watched this movie. Wild Tigers i have known.
About a confused gay boy growing up as an outcast. scenery is beautiful because its produced by Gus Van Sant.
Hanunting and Endearing.
"Do you think about breaking things? We could break things. Hearts? Don't break my heart" ha ha, ha ha.

I'm listening to soft indie girl rock. i think its the gray skies and the shy sun
and Mirah is the best for that. look up " 100 knives" totally adorable.

I've also tackled two things last week and this week.
I've rewatched something that was very hard to see, because of memories and what not.
but by god, it was good.
I give you: SLC PUNK

its crazy how much this movie has influence me, my view on music and living, thinking.
its really shaped.

well, my procrastinating is killing me. I've got business to take care of but
good news! i had a recording session yesterday with my friend Eli
and we recorded the funeral by Band of horses
and i got a gig for a school thing on the 19! woot woot.

I've gotta feed my cat,
